American Solar Rail (ASR) Introduces the Revolutionary Continuous Railway System (CRS) Powered by Solar Energy

In a groundbreaking move, Dutch railways have successfully transitioned their entire national rail system to run on wind energy. Meanwhile, in America, trains continue to operate without utilizing renewable energy sources. However, American Solar Rail (ASR) aims to change the landscape by revolutionizing the rail industry with its Continuous Railway System (CRS) powered by solar energy.

ASR, in collaboration with transportation technology experts from the MxVRail, a subsidiary of the Association of American Railroads (AAR.com), has made significant progress in developing a new rail car called the EMDI (Embarkation/Disembarkation). The EMDI plans to enhance the performance of ASR’s solar-driven trains, achieving passenger delivery times comparable to those of high-speed rail (HSR) systems that operate at speeds of 200-240 mph.

Unlike conventional HSR systems, which require trains to stop at designated depots for passenger exchange, the EMDI allows passengers to embark and disembark on the fly, significantly reducing time-consuming stops. This innovative approach only results in a 10% erosion of the train’s average speed, as opposed to the typical 30-35% erosion experienced by traditional HSR systems.

Moreover, ASR’s trains utilize 125-140+ mph infrastructure and tap into the abundant and inexpensive solar energy available in the southern United States. By leveraging solar power, ASR not only achieves cost-effective operations but also avoids the unnecessary infrastructure and energy costs associated with 200-240 mph HSR systems.

The EMDI’s battery propulsion system plays a pivotal role in ASR’s Continuous Railway System. While waiting at depots for passenger loading and the arrival of the next train, the EMDI’s batteries are charged by a solar farm or other energy storage methods. Once connected to the next passing train, the EMDI supplies energy for propulsion, stores excess energy in its batteries, and can even function as a push-pull unit.

This revolutionary battery recharging system enables the EMDI to operate non-stop, making ASR’s electric trains adaptable to any track, regardless of the presence of a catenary system. By avoiding the need to construct catenary systems, ASR can save approximately 25% on construction and maintenance costs, further complementing the affordability of its solar energy-powered trains.

ASR’s commitment to carbon-free transportation has earned them the reputation of being pioneers in the industry. The successful implementation of the EMDI, along with its innovative approach to combining solar energy and high-speed rail, sets ASR apart from traditional transportation providers.

Robert Escoe Green, the visionary behind ASR’s groundbreaking rail transportation system, received patent approval from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on October 13, 2022, for his invention. The patent defines a new rail transportation system that aligns with the Continuous Railway System model developed by ASR.

With the support of MxVRail and a proven track record of overcoming hurdles, ASR is confident that a certified EMDI can be realized within the next 18-24 months. ASR’s EMDI holds the potential to revolutionize rail travel in the United States, overcoming the challenges of land constraints and providing improved environmental, energy, operational, and financial performance.

The limitations faced by a solely high-speed rail solution, such as the failed attempts to establish a 240-mph rail system between Dallas and Houston, highlight the need for alternative approaches. ASR stands ready to present its innovative solution to America, offering a comprehensive and sustainable rail system that addresses these challenges effectively.

As the world increasingly embraces renewable energy sources and seeks environmentally friendly transportation solutions, ASR’s CRS powered by solar energy is poised to usher in a new era of sustainable and efficient rail travel.
