Meet Alexander von Welczeck: Pioneering Sustainability in Climate Technology and Renewables for Three Decades

Alexander has been pioneering impact entrepreneurship in the Climate Technology & Renewables sectors since 2005, earning a reputation as an industry leader. His global work with Impact and ESG investors, strategic enterprises, and associations has been instrumental in driving the sustainability revolution. With a three-decade-long career dedicated to finding, developing, and managing technology-based businesses, he specializes in transforming traditional infrastructure into environmentally friendly solutions, harmonizing with nature’s balance.

Currently, Alexander holds key positions in notable ventures. He serves as the Chairman & President of SkyH2O, a leading ClimateTech company specializing in water technology, products, and services. SkyH2O’s innovative AWG systems offer unparalleled water sustainability solutions..

Additionally, Alexander is the Principal of CLEAN POWER ADVISORS LLC (CPA) and acts as an Advisor to PowerStation247 and CarFlex (EV Hub, UK). These roles focus on the intersection of sustainability and profitability, exemplifying their commitment to creating clean water and energy solutions.

With experience dating back to 1986 and having conducted business in 22 countries across 5 continents, Alexander’s expertise is vast. His notable achievements include co-founding SOLAR POWER PARTNERS (SPP), a company acquired by NRG in 2010, where he pioneered PPA-based DG PV financing. He also conceptualized and executed the “Solar Deal of the Year” for CONCENTRIX (now SOITEC), securing 305MW of PPAs for SDG&E.

Throughout his career, Alexander has held significant management and executive roles at renowned companies such as THYSSEN-KRUPP, DOVER, DORMA, and FRIENDLYWAY. His international experience, particularly in Europe (UK, Germany) from 1990 to 2001, has enriched his global perspective.

Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from the University of San Francisco (USF) and is an active member of the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) and the Sierra Club, reflecting his commitment to sustainable practices and environmental advocacy.
